Obviously we all hope that every wedding day is sunny for the brides sake, but if it doesn’t work out that way, we’ll be ready! =)

Take a look at some fantastically unique wedding pictures that partner photographer Dan Terpstra from Terpstra Photography took in Saint Joseph Michigan at Tiscornia Park / Beach. St. Joseph is a great place to shoot not only because Ben lives there but because “Michigan’s most romantic city” has some beautiful views of Lake Michigan with sustained evening light from Chicago.
We joined Greg & Judy in town where we took some portraits before heading off to the lake for the ceremony.

Ah yes… what do Ben and Dan like to do for fun after a LONG day of shooting? How about going out after midnight to play with light while shooting pictures of the windswept pier in Saint Joseph Michigan! Picture is of Dan swinging a lantern around himself while he waits for his

5 minute exposure to be completed. The glow you see on the horizon is not the sunset it is actually the light from Chicago all the way across the lake lighting up the night sky… talk about light pollution… we’ll forgive them though since it looks so beautiful in the picture! Photo by Ben

Who are we:
We’re professional photographers that see the value of working together as a team to provide the best experience possible to each of our clients.

What do we do:
We each own our own studios and shoot for our own brands but we combine our creative talents when working on new ways process images, design albums, market to clients, and innovate in our businesses.

Do you shoot together:
While we all own our own studios we believe that there’s nothing more fun than working with other professional photographers. While many studios offer their clients the opportunity to hire a “second photographer” it isn’t often that that second photographer brings years of experience and their own unique and creative vision to your wedding day. When working with a Photography Team partner you’ll have the opportunity to not only work with the studio of your choice but bring in one of the partner photographers to photograph your day as well!

If I work with one of you do I HAVE to hire a 2nd photographer from a partner studio?
While many clients see the value of working with multiple partner photographers not all wedding days actually require this approach, we will talk to you about your wedding day and the coverage and images you’re looking for and give you an honest assessment about whether or not you need a partner photographer to be a part of your day. There are many situations where an associate or even assistant photographer may suffice and we will be sure to explain all your options to you!
